I am searching for information on the SPEARS line from VA/WV/OH. I know that John William Spears married Catherine PEYTON in Kanawha County, VA abt. 1802. They had several children including Henry Peyton Spears. The PEYTONS and SPEARS families were neighbors for generations. I want to know if John SPEARS might have been the brother of George Washington SPEARS (bought land in Cabell County, VA/WV in 1815 and married Elizabeth MILLER in 1818) who was my great, great, great grandfather.
