Hi--
I have followed the same tentative trail as you back to the Staten Island Nicholas duPuy family, though I don't have tremendous confidence in the genealogy before William Pew Sr. of Morris Co. NJ. William Sr. was the grandfather of John Pew (m. Elizabeth Vaughn). My ancestor was John's sister, Mary, who married Thomas McClain first and Asa Arnold second. The sticking point with John Pew and Susanna Whitlock having been the parents of William Sr. is that John did not name him in his will. There are other sticking points related to the Staten Island connection. Please send me an e-mail. I have a ton of stuff to send you.
