I am searching for information on John Franklin & Lucinda Petty [Petti] (other last name unknow) Camden County St. Mary's Ga. John Petty born in GA. 1856. Possible children, by John & Lucy/Lucinda Petty, Mariah Jessica Petty ( my GG grandmother), and her possible siblings, James Madison, Adaline, Anna bell, Mary Catherine.
One of her sisters married a L.T Conova, Jacksonville Fl.
I am trying to make a connection with John Petty and my Great great grand mother Mariah Jessica Petty.
And find more information about her mother Lucinda Petty. Lucy married W.A Blaisdell in 1886. She signed her name Lucinda Petty on her marriage lic. And Lucy Petty on Mariahs Death Cert. Father's name was not given. If Petty was her married name, wouldn't she have signed her name using her maiden name, or her then married name? (Blaisdell). I am starting to think she was a Petty as well? Maybe she married a cousin? Or someone who shared the same last name?
Mariah Jessica Petty married Charles Reign Armstrong Sr. in 1887 They had 8 children together, one died an infant. Mariah was murdered by Charles. He shot her 3 times in the back, she died June 3, 1901 Jacksoville Florida age 28. Leaving her mother Lucinda, and seven children behind. Charles Jr, Lula my great grand mother, E.Guy, Hugh, Cornelious, Claude and Anna May.
Lucinda/ Lucy died Oct 24, 1904 age 60, Jacksonville Fl.
