Thanks for your interest in my forthcoming book on the Pettus family. I have included Anne Pettus who married Joseph Eggleston, but I don't carry the Eggleston line past the next generation as that would be out of scope for my book. I also have a chapter that reviews the available evidence for Eggleston connections to the Pettus family. My main authority is Dr. J. D. Eggleston, who did research on his Eggleston-Pettus ancestry in the early 20th C. He mentioned some very early records as evidence for his work, but none of those records now seems to be available. Are you familiar with his research?
