Doris Pettit or Pettitt was born about 1928 in PA (prob. in either East Fallowfield/Downingtown or Chester). Her father was my uncle, William Orton Pettit or Pettitt born Dec 29, 1891 in London. He married Clara Helen Irwin in 1918 in Philadelphia. Doris is listed as 2 1/2 in the 1930 census of Chester City, PA where she is livng with her mom, step-sister Edith Rutter McNulty, and cousin, Delores McNulty. Her father is an inmate in Easter State Penitentary.
