My notes on the 1900 Brooklyn Census (Washington Park) shows a Wade C. Petit:

Washington Park

Thomas Petit 5-1858
Frank W. Petit 10-1883
Wade C. Petit 11-1887
Nicholas L. Petit 9-1821 (Father)
Mary H. Petit 5-1828(Mother)
A(rthur?) E. Petit 8-1862

Thomas, above, does not show up in previous Censuses of the family of Nicholas L. Petit - but a Theo born about the correct date does. So, my notes may be in error- but it seems either Theo or Thomas Petit is the father of Wade C.
