Hi Shannon,

I am glad to find more family!

Ann Elizabeth Pettit (About 1826) was born to Elizabeth Forbell (15 SEP 1805 Newtown, Kings, NY)
And Andrew J. Pettit (30 NOV 1785, Christening 15 JAN 1786 Presb. Church, NYC)
These are without a doubt, her parents.

I descend from Elizabeth Forbell's sister, Sarah "Sally" Ann Forbell.

I am getting some great Pettit information from Robert Meyers. I had some incorrect information and he has been helping me get some of this straightened out. (I had some children with the wrong son) He has provided me with lines I did not have yet, and I have sent him what I had on some lines.
This is what ROBERT sent to me:
Children of ANN PETTIT and HENRY BARLOW are:

Ann Elizabeth Barlow, b: About 1843
Mary A. Barlow, b: About 1849
Joshua Barlow, b: 31 JAN 1852 Hempstead, NY
William Henry Barlow, b: 22 MAR 1854 Hempstead, NY
Christening: 07 Oct 1859, St Geo Ep Ch Hempstead NY
Daniel Cooper Barlow, b: 17 DEC 1856 Hempstead, NY
Christening: 07 Oct 1859, St Geo Ep Ch Hempstead NY
Samuel Barlow, b: About 1858
John Edward Barlow, b: 9 JUL 1861
baptised as "John Edward"1
Christening: 27 Oct 1861, St Geo Ep Ch, Hempstead LI NY
Abraham Lincoln Barlow, b: About 1865
Elmira Barlow, b: About 1868

Robert has many years invested in researching his family roots in Newtown, New Lots, Brooklyn, Hempstead etc.
He has been a big help to me, and I sure appreciate it!
He is detailed and accurate.

As far as this line goes, he told me that daughter Mary A. Barlow married Abraham Bloodgood Van Nostrand. I believe that is as far as he has gotten. Maybe you can help us with more info. I have not been working this line lately, but I have not given up!

Thanks for your response, and let us know what you need help with.
