Hello, I believe I may be able to provide you with some information on Joshua Pettit if he is the same Pettit who was later found on Lawson's Fork of the Pacolet prior to the Revolutionary War. I have studied this area and I am not familiar with any of the place names you spoke of. What county or district was Fairfax Manor in and was (is?) there a Potomac River or do they perhaps mean Pacolet which had several different spellings at the time. I am very interested in the information you have mentioned and would like to share what I have on Joshua Pettit and neighbors if it is indeed the correct person. Hope to hear from you soon.
