Pettitts from Essex,ENG 1500s-1700s

I have a family tree for the Pettitt side of our family going back to the early 1500s. For most of the 1500-1700s they lived in Essex, England - moving from Ashdon to the Saffron Walden area in ~1600, then to Thaxted and Springfield in the 1700s. [During this time the spelling has changed from Petyte, Pettyt, Pettit and finalising with Pettitt].

Does anyone on this forum have ancestors from Essex, England who may be connected [Note - Unfortunately, I do not have any info re connections with the Henri Pettit/Thomas Pettit/Christian Mellowes emigrants that I have seen mentioned on this forum].

Looking forward to any replies.
