I'm looking for information about Eliza Jane Pettis. She was born about 1840 in Wisconsin. I believe her parents were David and Sarah Pettis. She married Abram Wiltse at some point and had children. One of the children was Mary Elizabeth Wiltse, born in Minnesota in about 1859. Mary married Jorgen (George) Nissen in 1876.
Eliza is living with her daughter Mary and son-in-law in Olmsted Co MN in 1880. The census says she was a widow, but Abram is very alive and busy remarrying at that point.
In 1910, she's living in South Dakota with her sons, Ernest and David J. A Milton Pettis is living next door and appears to be another son.
I would like to know how she and her parents fit into the Pettis family tree and I would like to know what happened to her after 1910.
