Clora ZIMMERMAN PETTIS was my great aunt by her marriage to Uncle Dwight PETTIS. As the family Genealogist I can give you the following information.
Clora June ZIMMERMAN was born 14 November 1882 at Marble Hill, Bellinger County, Missouri, daughter of George Washington ZIMMERMAN and Jerlean -O- POTTER.
Clora June ZIMMERMAN PETTIS died 12 May 1975 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. She is buried beside her husband in Double Butte Cemetery in Phoenix.
She married Dwight Ernest PETTIS, son of John Luman PETTIS and his second wife Sarah Jane HILL.
Clora was the mother of 5 children. The eldest child was Jerry Lyle PETTIS 1916-1975 United States Congressman from San Bernardino County, California.
2nd child was Ramona Jerlean PETTIS IRELAND who is still living in Kerrville, Texas.
Three other sons are deceased. Dwight Ernest PETTIS Jr., George Wilbur PETTIS and Wendell Wells PETTIS.
