Hey Susan,
I don't believe that any of the people mentioned here are closely related to Perkins. The 1830 Lauderdale Co. census (the only one he appears in) states that he was born in SC (1780-1790). This makes sense, because his wife Nancy Sullivan(t) was born there and can be proven. It appears that lots of people migrated from SC to Kentucky during the 1810s. The Sullivan(t) family did and at least Perkins from his family did. They were married there (Caldwell Co.) in 1817. Uncertain if they knew each other before the migration. There are a great many P Pools in KY by this time.
