I was born Mary Cecilia Pitts the daughter of John G. Pitts who died in Pictou County, Nova Scotia in 1983. His parents are John Pitts (deceased) and Florence Cameron (now Sutherland). I was adopted to the Hape family at a young age and know nothing of my fathers family except that he was of French Acadian descent and the name Pettipas is somewhere in our history. If anyone knows anything of these roots I would appreciate it greatly. I don't even know my fathers birthday...he was in his 30's when he died.
