I don't know if the following can be of use to you, but it does mention a Margaret Aiken Pettigrew, and children born in County Tyrone IR, although her husband's name is William. Where did you find the details about Nancy, John and Margaret that you gave in your message? http://books.google.com/books?id=M2UUAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA1880 A History of Northwest Missouri - Page 1880 edited by Walter Williams - Missouri - 1915 "THOMAS PETTIGREW. The career of Thomas Pettigrew, a venerable resident of Helena, Andrew County, is one well worthy of consideration by the younger generation....Thomas Pettigrew was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1831, and is a son of William and Margaret (Aiken) Pettigrew, the latter of whom died when Thomas was a baby, while the former, a farmer all his life, passed away in New Jersey. The following children were in the family : William, Eliza, James, George, Charles, all deceased, Thomas, Mary, deceased, and Margaret, of Orange New Jersey.... He was bound to his brother William for five years, in the manufacture of hats, and served the time at Milburn, New Jersey..." ---- http://www.ststephensmillburn.org/church/history/history_1851_1963.htm A HISTORY OF ST. STEPHEN’S CHURCH Millburn , New Jersey 1851 - 1963 by James Elliott Lindsley "The first burial was that of William Pettigrew on October 7th, 1853." ----- See also message 770 of this genforum: "I am a descendent of William Pettigrew (b. ?1787, Tyrone, Ireland) and Margaret Aiken....The children of William & Margaret were Eliza Anne (died in Andrew, Missouri), William J.(died in NJ), Female b. 1828 in Ireland, James d. 1888 in NJ, Thomas (d. 1917 in Rosendale,Andrew, Missouri), Charles (d. 1895 Bolckow,Andrew, Missouri); Margaret (d. 1918) in Orange, NJ; George (born Bohard, Tyrone, Ireland), and Mary (born 4/14/1838) in Bohard, Tyrone, Ireland." -------- Are you possibly getting two different Pettigrew lines intertwined and confused? From what info you have given, I am not seeing any connection among any of these Pettigrews and the Bedegrews you are seeking. However, Jacob Pettigrew (b. PA abt 1800) of Armstrong Co. PA did have a daughter Josina. I have seen some speculation that Jacob might have been another sib of Alexander, Josina, and Hannah. Armstrong and Indiana Counties are neighbors, and I placed John and Martha Pettigrew in Indiana Co, in my first reply to you. At odds to John and Jacob being related is that John was b. IR while Jacob was b. PA. Notify Administrator about this message?
