Emy,
I am glad I helped to clarify things for you.
David and James were the immigrants that launched two Petticrew lines in America. They are thought to be brothers.I am descended from James.Much is known about the descendants of both of these immigrants, but their Old World origins are a mystery.David had a son John Finley; John's Rev. War pension application stated he was born in Ireland. We have no idea where in Ireland, though.I am always interested in any help to find the origins of immigrants James and David.
Since you claimed Catherine, here is info on her parents and siblings, courtesy of the same Petticrew researcher. It again carries my caution that much is undocumented and therefore requires verification.
DAVID PETTICREWborn 1713, and died July 02, 1784 in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He married ELIZABETH FINLEY.She was born Abt. 1715 in (possibly) Armagh, Ireland, and died 1804 in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
More About DAVID PETTICREW:
