Rosalie,
The tombstone info you gave Frances, may I ask what resource you quoted?I am looking for any Ulster source/resource to check for my ancestor from the mid 1700's.I get the impression that Ulster records from that period are few.
Because my ancestor James Petticrew settled and migrated in the frontier of Pennsylvania and Virginia, Ulster Scot territory in America, I think he is likely to be from Northern Ireland.Would you know of Petticrew vital records and wills of that era in Ulster, to help me in my search.I discovered there was a concentration of Petticrews around Belfast, but I obviously don't know if that area was his home.
Any help and suggestions you can offer would be appreciated.Do you also have Petticrew ancestors?
Bev
