Here are some references to Peddicords in KY:
A biography in - History of Caldwell County -
MO has a story about Thomas L. Peddicord a
large land owner in that county. It states that he was born in Clark County, Kentucky 2/5/1834. Moved to MO from Pettis Co., Kentucky
in March of 1858. Moved with parents: Nathan Peddicord (born in Maryland) Nancy Dawson (born in Virginia). Thomas was the 8th of 10 children.

Also, I have read several references to a book written about Kelion Petticord, a Confederate 2nd Lieutenant in the Kentucky 14th Calvary. The book was written by his sister and probably has a history of the Kentucky Petticords.

Sorry I couldn't be of more direct help but maybe there is a new clue in this material.
