I am looking for descndents of Frank B., Geo. E.,Charles J. or Harvey Pettibone who were born in Dubuque, IA., the sons of Bronson Pettibone and Eveline nee Eggleston Pettibone. Two of the Pettibone boys were still in Dubuque around 1904-06 when they paid for perpetual care for their grandparent's plot in Linwood, Cem. Dubuque. I descend from Eveline Eggleston Pettibone's sister, Hannah, who married John C.B. Nelson and are also buried Linwood. Linwood Cem. has apparently removed quite a few old stones in an effort to landscape just inside their fantastic iron gates - the Eggleston 's being among them. Moses Eggleston, Eveline's father, served from NY state in the War of 1812. His service was over about 20 years and he retired a Colonel. I'm trying to get a stone put back on their graves. Eveline's mother was Olive Hitchcock, dau. of Rev. Soldier Ira Hitchcock. Would love to "talk" to cousins and am willing to share. My email is email@example.com. Marianne
