I hope someone can help me! My ggg grandmother was Nancy Petter from South Carolina. She was born Feb. 1834 in South Carolina(according to the 1900 Census). She married Matthew J. Rumsey January 4, 1857 in Habersham County, Georgia. Nancy died sometime between the 1900 and 1910 censuses. She and Matthew had several children. I name them here just in case there may be a family name that means something to someone:
Susan, Holman Freeman, James H., Martha E., Lucy Jane, Richard Columbus, and Jesse A.
