Launching this forum, I ask all people with family name Petter to send me an e-mail, or write. I want to update the family tree; also to establish if there are any Petters in the world who are not of the same family!
I get my name via James Bazeley Petter (b Yeovil, England, 1908) whose father was Guy, one of 13 children. Guy was one of the three brothers who founded Petters Ltd, inventors and makers of a special type of deisel engine (and 49 other patents!).
I know of relations in upstate NY, Montreal, British Columbia, one in San Fransico, one in S Africa. I have some listings of more world wide.
Please tell me your full name, dob, parents and their dob, and any other interesting brief details. If not sure of any facts add a ?
