Hi! I'm writing a thesis and making a documentary on 17th century Salem/Newburyport MA, and combining my genealogy in the research. Does anyone have any information concerning the place of death for Richard Pettingell he was born abt 1610 in England....arrived in MA in 1629...died in Newburyport, (I think, nowhere in any records have I seen an actual place of death) in 1695. Did he die in Newburyport? Also, what were the Ipswich Trials about in 1654-'78? Any interesting info that you have regarding Richard or Joanna is appreciated. I would love to find their gravesites if they exist for my documentary. Thanks!
