St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, Feb. 26, 1909: Scarlet Fever Victim Sarah, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Petronis, died Wednesday night at the Emergency hospital fitted up by the city to take care of contagious diseases in families who are not able to give skillful treatment to their sick. A boy died in this family last week who was near death from scarlet fever when a physician was called. The little girl took the fever and was cared for at the hospital with the hope that she might recover. There are other cases who are getting along comfortably. -------- I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information. Notify Administrator about this message?
