Lynn,

I took a quick spin through the Brown and Bartholomew County, Indiana court records that I've collected for Petros and don't find anything newer than about 1920, so I guess I quit looking at about that time range.

I'd suggest looking in the Columbus, Indiana newspapers around February 1930. There were quite a lot of Brown County "doings" reported in the Columbus papers.

I don't remember hearing about a fire, but there was an explosion of some sort of mill or something that killed a Petro man. I probably have some info around here on that, but am not sure where it is at the moment.

Where did you find the picture and do you have any additional clues?

Julia
