My great grandfather, George Petro (b. 1881)..son of John (who never came to this country) emigrated from Slovakia (could be Hungary) at the turn of the century. We think he came through Pennsylvania then eventually moved to Gary, IN. He had several brothers, at least one of which followed him to Gary. He married Julia Kerestan, also of Slovakia.
I have spoken to some cousinsin Pennsylvania.
