My mother Merle Grace Petree (DOB 11/28/1918 in Knox Co. MO and death 11/6/1980 in Sacramento CA) was the daughter of Edgar Ray Petree (DOB 5/1/1891 in Knox Co. MO and died September 1976 in LaPlatta MO) and Anice May Lewis (DOB 10/29/1896 and died 11/1986 in LaPlatta, MO).
Anice May Lewis was the daughter of Dock T.J. Lewis (DOB 7/22/1871 in Knox Co. MO and died 6/1946 in Macon Co. MO) and Ada Elizabeth Murray (DOB 5/28/1877 Knox Co. MO and died 5/1965).
Edgar Ray Petree was the son of Robert Wilson Petree (DOB 3/7/1861 in Decatur Co. IN and died 12/29/1950 in Knox Co. MO)and Louisa Alice Hodges (DOB 2/10/1887 in Knox Co. MO and died 12/1/1938) who was the daughter of Archibald Wetherford Hodges and Alice Ardena Louderback.
Robert Wilson Petree was the 8th child of Andrew Jackson Petree (DOB 12/28/1828 in Blooming Gove IN and died 1/26/1869 in Macon Co. MO) and Elizabeth Moncreif (DOB 3/11/1834 and died 10/8/1903 and buried at New Harmony Cemetery in Mo.).
It appears that many of you are relatives of mine and I am hopeful that you have additional information regarding my branch of the Petree Family. Any documentation of the Petree Family from Johann Peter Petri (died 1712), Johann Niklas Petri (DOB 4/23/1696 and died 11/1750), Johann Jacob Petree (DOB 1/24/1722/23 and death 5/3/1804), Johann Jacob Petree Jr. (DOB 1767 and death 8/17/1820), Adam Petree (DOB 5/12/1790 in Stokes Co. NC and death 1/23/1856 in Decatur Co. IN), to Andrew Jackson Petree and Robert Wilson Petree and particularly any information on Robert Wilson Petree's other children would be greatly appreciated.
