Hi - my great great grandmother was a Pettitt (I don't know if the spelling counts in days when most people relied on the church to write the name). Eleanor Pettitt was born around 1839 and married Henry Medcalf (from Suffolk) in 1861. I know very little about her except that her father Peter was a publican and she married in St Margaret Westminster, Middlesex. There's not much UK Pettitt genealogy on the web so maybe we can get some interest!
