We were out in the country recently visiting friends. We took a walk through the Mt. Calvary cemetery outside of Baldwin, KS, and the girls were intrigued by this grave:
Petit
Elizabeth C., born in France
Jan. 6, 1810
died Oct. 18, 1870
(foot stone): Mother
Does anyone know her story? There are no other Petits in this cemetery, or the surrounding. We were intrigued!
