I am searching for the pedigree of my ggg grandfather William Henry Petit, b. New York abt. 1807, d. (probably Staten Island, New York bef. 1860, m. Elizabeth (Eliza) Cannon, b. Staten Island, New York, 1815, d. Staten Island, New York, 1903. The couple had at least 5 children: David, Freeman, William Henry (II), Anne Elizabeth, and Harry. Except for census records showing his widow had remarried by 1860, the only source information that I have are notes by my late mother.
