I am looking for marriage/death/parents for Andre Tremblay married to Sophie Petit sometime 1830's 40's (Clinton Cty NY). Perhaps Petit marriages will show info I am looking for. I have looked at (Keeseville) Andre and Mary/Margeret Anderson and their son but think the Andre son may be too young but have no info on him. Keeseville bridge collapse in 1842 - anyone have list of dead?
Sophie's parents - Joseph Petit/Osite Boudrot(or varient)
Joseph used name "Little" in US Census in Champlain NY in 1810. Osite Boudreau used first name Luzetta and Louisa.
Sophie married after Andre Tremblay to John Denson on 1/1/1850.
She had at least three children before marrying Denson.
1) Marie Rose Tremblay b~1838 married 1855 Georges Gillett s/o Ambroise Gillett and Clarrisa Anderson. Mary's death cert in Groton, MA 1901 states father is Edward Trombly and mother is Sophie Little.
2) Edward b~1844 married Olive Gauthier after returning from Civil War (118th Reg NY Vol)
3) Isaac B~1846 married Adeline Sanschagrin (Sawyer)12/25/1865 after returning from Civil War (118th Reg NY Vol)
apears he lied about age to join. (my gggrandfather)
Although Edward and Isaac went to Wisconsin (1870 USCensus) they returned by 1880. Edward and Mary stayed in Champlain and Chazy while Isaac went to Nashua NH via Rutland while working for Railroad. Mary and husband moved to Nashua for 1900 (USCensus) where they both died in Groton MA.
