JJP Sr's children captured by Indians were John Martin P, Anna Maria P, Anna Maria Barbara P, Trina Bettie P. Also Captured were Mr MOSER and his wife Eva Elizabeth HARPER. Mr MOSER was killed with a tomahawk in the presence of his wife by the Indians. Eva Elizabeth HARPER MOSER was
kept by the Indians as a slave for 6 years. She was exchanged by the French and Indians at Upper Sandusky OH, and returned. She then married Jacob Peterson.

Passport stated the destination was "Island of Pennsylvania." He carried a letter of recommendation for him, wife, 4 children, from pastor N. John
Frederick Westein, attesting to his piety. Landed in Philadelphia, stayed in PA for several years, then removed to Augusta Co VA, later divided into Hardy Co VA. Had 5 more children i Hardy Co: Anne Maria, Trina Bettie (Caterina Elizabeth), Annie Marie Barbara, and two children who died in infancy. In VA he took oath of allegiance to King George III of Great Britain, signed 20 nov in the 5th year of king's reign. per Linda

bio. In 1792 thru 1797 George Post was a resident of the East District, Hardy Co WV.
As Georg Post he was confirmed at the North Mill Creek Church, Lutheran and
Reformed, 4/19/1797 and attended communion the next day. On 1029/1797, Georg
Pfost and his wife Elizabeth Pfosten, were communicants on the Reformed side, Rev.
Mr. Hoffman. It was probable their son, George Pfost, who was born and bap there abt
1798. On 4/10/1799 George Post bought from Isaac Washburn and wife 120 acres on
Isaac's Creek, Harrison Co. WV. On 6/18/1818 he bought from Isaac and Milley
Washburn 123 acres also on Isaac's Creek for $410. Harrison Co Deed Book 8 Page
57 RWL. His name appears on early tax records of Harrison Co WV. His personal
property was assessed regularly and for several years he had as many as seven horses. His will indicates he was a farmer; gives wife Elizabeth Post 1/3 of estate for life; gives son George Post 2 tracts given in life plus 50 acres; he gives son Jacob Post plantation which was his residence with 4 tracts 123 acres, 37 acres, 15 acres, 50 acres on Racoon Run, 1 chest, 1 wagon, smiths tools; Jacob had to pay George Post 300 dollars in compensation; gave son Enoch Post $1, he having received his share of the land; gave grandchild thru John Lynch $100 t be divided as they reach 21 years; 1 horse saddle, briddle to grandson; gave dau.s Elizabeth Summerville and Mary Gaston $100 each; grandson George Post[son of Jacob Post] my chest.; son Jacob Post 1 cupboard; balance to be divided between three sons George, Jacob Enoch Post.. Will was proved 8/9/1849 in Harrison Co Court. In a deed of renunciation Elizabeth Post renounced the will of her husband George Post. BIO: George Post of Germany emigrated to America, at a young age, between 1750
and 1799. His son Jacob was born in WV, and died near Good Hope. His son Jacob

bio. George Post was probably a son of Valentine Pfast-Post (1740-1800)of Hardy Co
WV by a former marraige, and not by his wife Barbara who is followed in the book, per "
Valentine Pfast-Post 1740-1800" book by Doris Jean Post Poinsett. per Algie Bailey of Fairmont WV. misc. Among the Penna. Germans it was customary upon the death of a married woman, to bury her with all marriage records, in order to show the Lord that this was a properly married woman. This means that researchers may not be able to find records on many marriages. per Fran West Powell.
