Gustaf Peterson, Dalsland, Sweden. 1842
I found my Gustaf Peterson, b. 23, Feb 1842 in Animskog Paris, Dalsland Sweden.He married Sophia Erickson, Her mother's last name was Swanbom.Gustaf left Sweden in 1882 bound for Marcus Co, Iowa, with Anna his 14 yr. old daughter.Sophia and rest of children left Animskog for New York in 1886.Somehow, they ended up in Pierson, Voluisa Co., Fl. where they were fern growers and shipped all over the US.Both Gustaf & Sophia are buried in Pierson Fl. at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Lena (married P. D. Dobblare. In 1938 they were living in Rochester, NY),
Edwin (Ed was married and living in Holly Hills, Volusia Co., Fl in 1938),
John J. (married Eva A. Swanson in Voluisa Co., Fl, both died in Pierson Voluisa Co., Fl and are buried in Ebenezer Lutheran Church Cemetery),
Ida (never married, buried at Ebenezer Lutheran Ch. Cem),
Ulrica (married Roy C. Childs in Voluisa Co., Fl, died 1938, buried at Ebenezer Luth. Ch. Cem),
and a son name unknown.
Am looking for descendants of any of these children to share information with.When Gustaf died in 1917 he left behind a brother in Sweden, and 9 grandchildren. A Rev. Swanbom in Pierson, Fl presided over the service.He was a brother of Sophia.Have more information coming from Sweden.
