Have been trying to find info on g-grandfather (Johannes Petersen) for a long while. Would like to know where born etc. I know he married Mary Catherine Thomsen from Enge, in 1871. I also know hat one of the daughters born to them (Magdelena Fredericka), was born in Flensburg in 1885. Other children include John, Lorenz, Thomas, Detlef, Dorathea, and Mary. One daughter (Johanna) died at age 7 and is buried in Germany. Johannes and one son came to USA in August of 1892 and the rest of the family arrived in USA in January of 1893 and settled in Iowa, Carroll, Crawford and Shelby counties. Any and all help will be welcomed.
