I'm looking for information on the Petersen side of my family.
My dad's name is Roy Petersen; he was one of five kids born to Morrill Petersen & Florence Othoudt.
Morrill was born May 7, 1916 in Amboy, MN to Lars Petersen and Mary Neilsen. He died on June 20, 2001 in Monticello, MN. Morrill's brothers and sisters: Olivette, Kermit, Richmond (Richman), and George.
The information I have on Lars:
Lars Petersen
b. 16 Mar 1889, Schleswig, Denmark
d. 18 Nov 1962, Minneapolis, Minnesota
He was from Denmark, and as the family lore goes, came to America as a stowaway on a ship. He married Mary Marthalina Neilsen on June 28, 1911 near Amboy, MN. Mary was also originally from Schleswig.
I'm trying to find the names of Lars' parents-- or any other information at all.
I'll be glad to share my information with anyone as well.
