To all: I recently sent for and received a partial passenger list for the S.S. Silesia (Hamburg-Amerika Line) for May 8, 1871. In addition to my names there were a few others that I wanted to share. Here's some info for your board:

Peterson, Carnel(?), age 42, male, occupation looks like "Ca??", possibly Capt??? He appeared to be traveling alone from Hamburg, Germany to New York. The country listed for him was Germany.

Not much, I know, but I hope this helps someone.
