Michael Peterman's wife, Anna Maria (maiden name unknown), remarried after Michael Peterman's death. She married Christian Winiker June 29, 1786. His surname was variously spelled ... including Weneger and Vinegar. "Christian Winiker, Sr. (Vinegar), came to Donegal township about the year 1750, and rented the ferry about two miles west from Marietta. His son, Christian, purchased the ferry and about seventy-five acres of land. For many years it was better known as "Vinegar's Ferry." History of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with Biographical Sketches of Many of its Pioneers and Prominent Men Chapter XLVII. East Donegal Township, 1883. By Samuel Evans, Esq. page 768 My efforts to research and determine the maiden name of Anna Maria have been unsucessful. Based on early church records and baptismal sponsorships, my best hunch was that her maiden name might have been "Baer" or "Lohr" .... but I have found no proof to substantiate this guesswork.
