James, Matthew and William are all brothers and the sons of John Pester and Sarah Clarke. They are all from West Pennard, Somerset, England. There are nine children.

John Pester b. Oct 3, 1802, West Pennard
William Pester b. Aug 8, 1803 West Pennard
James Pester b. Jul 3, 1805 West Pennard
Elizabeth Pester b. Apr 8, 1810 West Pennard
Diana Pester b. Dec 25, 1812 West Pennard
Caroline Pester b. May 8, 1814 West Pennard
Matthew Pester b. May 19, 1816 West Pennard
John Pester b. Aug 9, 1818 West Pennard
William Pester b. Mar 24, 1822 West Pennard

Since the first sons also have younger brothers with the same names it may be assumed that these children died at an early age.
