According to the Piopolis, Hamilton County, IL Parish Family Register Ellis Person m. Anastasia Hoelzle 10 Oct 1861 @ St John's Church, Piopolis, IL.
Anastasia had previously married Thomas Specht. This union produced 4 children.
Ellis, he is listed as Aloysius, had previously married Mary Buchanan. They has 2 children Juliana b. 5 Aug 1858 & Catherine b. 3 Mar 1861. Apparently mother and child died and Ellis [Aloysius] then married Anastasia Hoelzle Specht. They had 7 children
