Seeking the full names and marriage record of J.R. PERSON and his wife, Matilda, who are in the 1860 census of Elk River Twp., McDonald Co., IL (p. 88). They have daughter, Henrietta, age 4 (b. 1855/6).
Matilda remarried on 18 Jan 1866 in Macon Co., IL, to widower Perry STROPE. Perry & Matilda are in the 1870 census of Macon Co., IL (p. 630A), where J.R.'s daughter, Henrietta, age 14, is now surnamed STROPE (enumerated STREP).
