Please - Feel FREE to contact WHOMEVER to see if we may not be able to get some of these orphans correctly attached.

Here's a few MORE puzzle pieces though (noting no one has been able to properly ATTACH this Elizabeth PERSINGER, and NOW able to reference a partial to Michael DOWNING's will....

England, Joseph Persinger, Elizabeth 11 May 1843 Indiana Jackson Co.

So, could above Elizabeth have been Catherine DOWNING PERSINGER's child too?!

Below is the only census I could locate on Michael DOWNING:

1850 Census:
Name: Michael Downing Age: 81
Estimated birth year: abt 1769
Birth place: Ireland Gender: Male
Home in 1850 (City,County,State): Grassy Fork, Jackson, Indiana Page: 228 Roll: M432_152

Reuben MAY       53              VA
Elizabeth       52              Do (ditto)
Andrew              15              In'd
Mary Q.orA.(?)       13              DO (ditto)
Michael DOWNING       81       None       Ireland

Not to muddy the waters, but I ALSO don't think we should lose sight of this (of which is MY line):

We, additionally, have a John PERSINGER who died in July 19, 1820 in INDIANA (county unknown), but the PERSINGER's seemed to have homed in Washington & Indiana Cos). I highly suspect John PERSINGER's death to have been here.

John PERSINGER md. Elizabeth PATTERSON on Aug 27, 1806 (or Aug 27, 1816 (two conflicting dates of marriage). There WERE children by this union as evidenced by John PERSINGER's father's Will of 1824 in Alleghany Co., VA (fka Botetourt Co until 1822).

Item I give and bequeath to my beloved
son John now deceased, that is his Children twenty shillings to be equally divided among them.
