Hi, thanks for the reply. Im searching for my greatgrandfather who ran away from home when the war started and family legend says he was with Quantrill at Lawrence. Poor guy, his mother got a letter from her sister from Lawrence where they had laid over on their way to California and the aunts husband was one of the men killed. She told his mother that "I saw your Walter there." Anyhow he quit Quantrill after that and went to Sterling Price. Joab Perry is the only one that I could find that quit after Lawrence. Grandpappy was a fast gun and went by a lot of alias' and I am having a dickens of a time tracing him.
Carolyn
