William Perry apparently wrote the first dictionary published in USA. As far as I know William Perry published the 1st edition of the dictionary in 1788. Does anyone hold a copy of the dictionary? Can anyone tell me if the dictionary has any information about William Perry in it? I am look for his year of birth in London. I am looking for clues to see if he is the William Perry who served on Captain Cook's crew, the info I have is Perry was in the navy, medically trained, and wrote the dictionary. I'd like to find some sort of biography on Perry. Any help appreciated
