PERRY JAMES Richard January 10, 1932 - January 3, 2005. Beloved husband and father passed away after a short and valiant battle with cancer. Survived by Anne his loving wife of 47 years, his sons Michael and Christopher (Cheryl), grandchildren; Derek, Kyle and Steven; sisters Barbara Hill of Armstrong, Joan Buchi (Ivor) of Prince George, Beverly Risso (Lorne) of Kelowna, brothers; Ted Perry (Shirley) of Surrey, and Bill Perry (Evelyn) of Chemainus, numerous nieces and nephews and his dog 'Missy'. Predeceased by his father, mother and sister Marjorie Callahan of Kelowna. Jim was born in Black Diamond Alberta and spent his early years in Surrey, BC. Jim and Anne married in 1957, and moved to Prince George in 1958, buying a small trucking company, called 97 Transfer, with partners Ted and Ivor. After buying his partners out he merged with Doucette Transfer and Roy Doucette and Art Murray. After buying them out he built the business up and it evolved into Interior Warehousing as it is today. Jim was very active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce in the early years and was also a founding member of the Northern Interior Truck Loggers Association. As a member of the Prince George Elks he served as Grand Exalted Ruler and chaired many committees, also managing and playing in the Elks 'Elastic Band' which perform every Tuesday at various Seniors homes and events around town. Jim has always had a love of antique cars and is a member of the local club, greatly enjoying the 2000 cross Canada tour in his 1958 Cadillac. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, The Elastic Band audience, his many friends and his dog 'Missy'. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Monday January 10,2005 at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, 483 Gillette Street, Prince George, with Reverend Doctor Lance Morgan officiating.
