Emily, This is what I have found in Washington County, PA.
In the 1850 census I found a Edward Perrine age 79 and wife Sarah age 63 with daugther Martha age 23. They are in Hopewell Twp. Washington County, PA. That is just west of Washington, PA. Also just next door is Samuel Perrine, age 33 and wife Susan, age 28 and daughter E.H. Perrine age 2. There are many other Perrines in the area also but I just started on this name. This is why I have been looking for the name Perrine. My gr-gr-grandfather's name was Edward Perrine Baker. He was in the Hopewell Twp. and Indenpendence Twp. (just west of Hopewell) in 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900 census. I think Perrine is a odd middle name unless it was a Surname in the family like maybe his mother's maiden name. When I found the above Edward Perrine and his wife Sarah I thought that they might be his grandparents. I don't have proof yet but plan on a trip to the Washington County Courthouse this June to check deeds, marriage records, birth record and wills. Your Henry could be connected to these Perrines. Please e-mail if you think of anything else. C28TL56@msn.com
