There was a Samuel Perrin (1675-died 1742-1748) in Havover Co, VA.

Here is a female Perrin connection with proof that that she was a daughter of Samuel Perrin who must have lived in Hanover Co, VA.

19 July 1770 Indenture Prince Edward Co, VA, Deed Book 3, Page 383
JAMES BURNETT & FRANCES BURNETT, daughter of John Hooper, late of Hanover decd,…
of Prince Edward County, stands seized in fee simple of 100 Acres of land
in Hanover County now or late in Possession of WILLIAM ALSUP & whereon the
said ALLSUP formerly lived which said land was willed To JOHN HOOPER,
SON IN LAW to the said ALLSUP by Samuel Perrin after the death of the
said HOOPER’S MOTHER who was intermarried with ALLSUP & is now by the
death of said HOOPER & his Mother descended to us the only heirs of
said Hooper – know ye that we the said JAMES BURNETT & FRANCES HIS WIFE
(ONLY DAUGHTER OF SAID HOOPER…) appoint Joseph Starkey of Cumberland County
our true & lawful & irrevocable attorney for us to sell or dispose of said land…/s/
JAMES (+) BURNETT. Wit Wm Mills, Man McFilly, Henry Walker.
John Hooper jr had 100 acres willed to him by his grandfather, Samuel Perrin.
Mr. Perrin identified John Hooper as son-in-law to William Allsup.
This will was probated after the death of John Hooper's mother, who had married William Allsup.

The Hooper Mother was married to a John Hooper sr, about 1714.
John Hooper sr was dying and Benjamin Alsup, brother of William Alsup jr, took care of him in his dying days.
St Pauls Vestry Book, Hanover Co, VA 1706-1786
5 Oct 1731 (1400) to Benjamin Alsup’s acct for keeping John Hooper for three months.
The Hooper Mother was a PERRIN. I believe her first name may have been Elizabeth.

Her only son was John Hooper, jr.
John Hooper jr was born abt 1715. His mother must have married John Hooper sr abt 1714.
Therefore, she was born abt or just before before 1700, say 1695.
That would make her father, Samuel Perrin born abt 1675, as stated by Mary Lou Bailey.

Elizabeth Perrin married William Alsup jr (1690-1788) about 1732. This was a second marriage for both parties, and they both were older.

There are several Perrin-Alsup connections, which include:
Samuel Perrin II's step son, Wade Hampton, buried Joseph Alsup (son of Wm jr)
in Halifax Co, VA in Jan 1785.

The Halifax 1783 Tax list has Samuel Perrin and Joseph Alsup as next door neighbors.
1785 showed Elizabeth Perrin, widow of Samuel, living very close to Joseph Alsup.

Perrins and Alsup descendents went to Grainger Co, TN about the same time. (late 1700's)
Another Hanover Document:
10 Oct 1744 pg 182
To John Hooper, to take care of Joseph Sperring (700) (Joseph Perrin)
(same page as Benj & Susannah Alsup receiving 1200 & 100)

This was John Hooper jr, son of John Hooper and Elizabeth Perrin.
Joseph Perrin was either sick or dying. He may have been an uncle.

The Alsup-Perrin connections go on, and on, and on.
