I am looking for the death record of Robert O. Perrin Born abt 1870 Died abt 1922 Husband of Geraldine (Geralda) Poole and Father of Robbie (Robie) Perrin Young, My wife's grandmother. I find them all on the 1910 census living with Geraldines Father James M. Poole In Clear Creek, Sevier Co., Ar. The family story from grandma Robbie Is that they were Orphened when she was 10 to 13 and "farmed out" to other relatives. Her younger brother Gerald was born about 1921. My searches for Robert O. Only turn up the 1910 cemsus and a CSA Col. born 1835 (wrong guy). What was the means of recording deaths then? was it church records still or was it state and county records? I am new at this research and would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
