Mona -
As near as I can tell Petrus Perrin, my 13th great grandfather, sired a line with a number of Thomas Perrins from Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire County, England.

A year ago, after researching name places in many of the documented genealogies, I was informed by someone from England that there is no Ashby de la Fouche in England. His suggestion, based on location and name similarity, was that Ashby de la Zouch was actually the correct spelling. I think that note actually is on this Forum somewhere.

The first Thomas I have from that town is Thomas (1540-1626), my 9th great grandfather, married to Katherine Parrott.

Feel free to respond to my e-mail if I can help you in any way.

Steven Perrin
