The source for the name Elizabeth Spencer as wife of Thomas Perrin is from the Massachusetts Town Records:
Thomas Perrin and Elizabeth Spencer, Oct. 21, 1787, Washington, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. It is posted on the internet by Dent McIntyre and possibly others.
Although I see some logic in assuming this is the correct Thomas Perrin, I am trying to find an actual record that ties Thomas to those who are supposedly his ancestors. I was hoping to find a birth or christening record for at least one of the children to made the path from Washington, to Granville, to Brantford a little more solid. There are no christening records or birth records to be found in Granville and I have had no luck in Washington or the area around there either. The other side of that coin is I have found no evidence of any other Thomas Perrin either.
Possibly trying to trace Elizabeth Spencers family would turn up a record about the Perrins. Any suggestions about where to start?
Certainly the difference between the birth for Thomas of 1791 or 93 is not significant, if only because the Weslyan Methodist transcriptions are notorious for errors.
My problem is I like more of a string of evidence that I have at the moment.
Thanks for the help.
