Hello,
Recently, I heard a story that my Perriers from Quebec actually landed first in Nova Scotia. Wonder if there is a connection to your Newfoundland Perriers. The first ancestor that I have is Laurent Olivier Perrier born in Brest, Britagne, France in 1665. He was married in Fort St. Louis, Kahnewake in 1690 and raised his family in Laprairie, Quebec. His father was Laurent Olivier dit Perrier from Brest who married Marie-Madeleine Francoise Chauvin Guillard abt 1665 in France.
Maybe we have a connection.
Peggy G.
