There's a new book now on sale at Barnes & Noble and other stores. This is about Nicolas Perrot and his "Memoire on the Manners, Customs and Religion of the Savages of North America". The book is titled "The Indian Tribes of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Region of the Great Lakes. It uncludes descriptions of Nicolas Perrot's exploits by Claude Charles Le Roy, Sieur de Bacqueville de la Potherie.

Translated to English by Emma Helen Blair, it gives one a profound concept of life in those years of the French unfluence in New France.

Published by the University of Nebraska Press, a paperback version, 412pp, costs about $25. As a 9th gen. descendant of Nicolas Perrot, I highly recommend this book.
