Hi Phyllis,
I would love to share the information I do have. I'm very excited to hear what you know about William J. Permar. I was wondering if you could help me by confirming any of the following conclusions I've made regarding John Permar.

m.William Fisher
Rezin Permar(1804-1865)

David S Permar(1807-1850)

John Permar(1810-)
marrigage #2.Margaret Shaw (1787-1872)

m.John Johnston
Joshua M. Permar (1830-1897)
m.Nancy Hall
John Permar having two marriages is only my conclusion; do you support this or have other information?
Do you know if John and Henry were brothers?
Henry Permar (1777-)
m.Jane Allison
The information that I have on Stephen B. Permar is that he was a Physician;started his practice and family in Uhrichsville, Tuscarawas, Ohio. They left this area after he was discharged from the Civil War and went to the Elmore, Ottawa, Ohio area. The Permar family owned a cottage at the Lakeside Methodist Camp in Ottawa Co., Ohio for many years.I was able to get some interesting documents from the historical society at Lakeside.William J Permar was a clerk. He married Thirza Naomi Baldwin (she comes from the Baldwin/Kirk line, much information on this family on the web; very interesting).William J Permar and Thirza had two children:Arthur B Permar (my grandfather remember an "Uncle Bliss") and Amy Louise Permar.Arthur never married to my knowledge and lived with Thirza most, if not all, of his life.Amy Louise Permar married a man named Vernon L Decker and had 4 children:Lester, Myra Louise (my grandmother), Naomi and Elizabeth.I believe this family started out in Port Clinton, Ohio; eventually settling in Sylvania, Lucas Co., Ohio.Myra Louise Decker married George William Parker (my grandparents).
I've been looking to get my hand on a copy of "The Permar Family History Collection" by Philip H Permar, Richard Allen and Ed Permar.
I also have a little information on a James Permar and a sarah Young, married 13 Feb 1737 in Church Hill, Queen Annes, Maryland.I haven't been able to draw any direct conclusions yet.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to email me directly at [email protected].
